Jason Schlarb was joint winner of the 2016 Hardrock 100 together with Kilian Jornet. His performance on this super-tough, high-altitude race attracted a lot of attention.
The American ultra-marathon man also holds the record for the Run Rabbit Run race (ultra-trail in Colorado) and finished fourth in the 2014 UTMB®.

In winter, he takes to his skis. With two friends, he attempted to follow the route of the Hardrock 100 race. They took four days to do the lot (without doing any night-time racing); descents were fast but going up was slower because of the snow.
Julbo Trail Session: Hell in Paradise
One pro, an amateur and a dream destination – this is the idea behind the "Sessions". Jason and Julien Chorier took Bill Clements, winner of the "Trail Session", to Hawaii for 3 days. The route was 258 km long with 8,000 meters of height gain and included the summits of two 4,000-meter volcanoes. Watch the film of their adventure here:
